Kosmin test, 2x800 CV

The CVs were alright I guess. I don’t know how I feel about 800s though.

As for the kosmin rest, the first 2 were alright, but the last 2 were much better. I really pushed it in. My mile time and now new goal is 5:45. I hope I can get there. Actually I know I will get there. I went 1166 meters

Ran with the girls for 15 minutes, then by myself for almost the rest. Run was pretty good, felt like a good pace, wish I could have stayed with the girls longer, but there’s always tomorrow.

Rad Thing of The Day: I finished my book, that I’ve been dying to finish since I started.

Got together with Anna to run. We met at her house, and then drove (seperatly) to grapevine. When driving there I wasn't even sure I was going the right way, but we got there. We ran kinda slow, and had to turn back once to go find Anna's jacket she left on the trail. After she got her jacket we picked up the pace on the way back, and finished.

Ran in the freezing cold with Anna. We had to stop at her house for some gloves and hats, but the gloves did nothing for me. We forgot about our tempo stuff. Oops. We want a really chill pace, probably cause we were super chilly.

Well I was gonna skip out on the run today. But Anna and me met up and ran for 20 minutes in her neighborhood. We talked about rad stuff. And the run was pretty chill again. I’m gonna try to pick up the pace tomorrow.

Didn’t have much time to run today, had to be home for dinner with the missionaries. But I did talk to Anna about what coach holt had talked about to us. 

I personally think that this idea is a great idea. For me personally, having this consequence of not getting my required minutes in, would push me to wake up and go to morning practice. Anna agrees. The only con I see to it, is the potential added stress to the coaches life of figuring out who go their required stuff in, before the meet. If they can figure out an effective way to get this done, then this plan will be perfect for our team.

Met with the team at a trail, (wow I already forgot the name)...anyways great run with Anna, ranting and talking the whole 65 minutes. Luckily didn’t get too lost this time. Going through that one tunnel was super scary though.

Rad thing of the day: trying a new French toast recipe with Anna

So this week is going to be super hard to get my runs in. I’m going up to park city with Madi and her mom and sister, and they aren’t gonna encourage me to run really. Luckily they aren’t morning people and I am, so I’ll just wake up and run before they even wake up probably. I’m more concerned about where to run, let’s hope that all goes well. I also don’t know about getting my doubles in, but I’m gonna try my best to figure it all out.

The cabin we stayed in in park city was surronded by snow. The dirt road was slippery with ice and snow and it was incribledly hard to run. I ran back and forth on the porch and driveway for 15 minutes, barley getting a mile in.

Early run with Anna and Maddie. We ran a pretty solid pace the whole time. Almost tripped a few times too. As always we forgot to get our tempo stuff in, next week I'm gonna write it on my hand what to do for tempo on long runs and actually get it done.

Ran with the girls for the first 15 minutes of the run. Talked to Rylee about TV shows and Cam and his girlfriend. Overall run was nice. It's always nice having such a short run in the afternoon.

Beast and feast went fairly well. Wasn’t in the back of my group as always. The run was okay. Super hot, and I only said with the girls for about a mile ish. 

Rad Thing of The Day: World Civ, cause learning about World War I is really fun and interesting 

Also Random Thought: I wanna run varsity junior year, and besides Coach’s inspirational speech yesterday, I’ve been motivated by Cam. He told me that his senior year he never ever missed a run for any reason and that was also the only year he ran varsity.

Workout: 15min warm (w/ 5 ETemp), then 3-4x1200@ CVpace w/ equal rec, Hill Circuit, cool to time

First 1200 was a little slow, next one was a little fast, and last one was right on pace. Anna and Maddie were both behind me on the last two, wish Anna had stayed with me though. Then we went and did hill circuits, those were really good. Also it was hot, which I didn’t mind too much, it was nice to have a good sweat and I felt like I actually did really good today.

The 800 race went really well. I was leading for the first 100 or so, and then dropped back to second and soon to third. I was soon in 5th and then kicked it in at the end and took 2nd place. I PRed by 5 seconds, and have now placed the 800 as my favoirte race.

I went running on my own down mall drive. It was a pretty decent pace until I tripped and scarpped up my knee a little bit. The way back was an awkward run walk until I made it home.
