After having hitting and missing with my runs last week, it was nice to be able to run a good, long run this week. I was really proud of myself for getting 50 minutes. And was really happy, Anna helped me get there.

My brother Jake came home from his summer job, and got to come to the run. But he did make me really late to practice. Luckily Anna had looped back around and I was able to run with her basically the whole time.

I agreed to babysit at 8 am, not thinking about the fact that I had to go to practice before that. So my parents made me just get up early and run on my own, before heading over to babysit. I did get my run in, but went at a really slow pace.

It made me smile, that a few people asked me where I had been the day before. Because it shows that people really do notice when you miss practice. The warm up was really hard for me, I was in so much pain, even going at my slow pace. When I got to the dirt mile, Decker and his crew were just about to start, so I hopped in with them. I knew I wasn't going to be able to keep up with them, but that they would still be able to push me. I did 12 minutes of tempo and then run back to the school with Jason.

I was really sore today, and the grass was hard to run on. I also almost forgot to do striderrs, but someone reminded me, and even though I really didn't want to do them, I went and did them.
